The Bhanjdeo family renovated the palace into a heritage home stay to showcase culture and tradition of their royal family. The royal palace itself is a living museum for past 200 years and has seen numerous significant visitors come and stay. The palace having 10 well ventilated a/c rooms (5 Royal suites, 2 Place Room, 2 Historical Suite Room & 1 Historical Garden Suite room) with high ceilings and huge windows and corridors looking out to the trees surrounding the space, and almost instantly it feels like a royal home. The house has many great books. There are old antiques of the bygone era. Little bits of history are there in each corner. The Dining room has a beautiful old world charm, and the food is yummy well made home food. The athletics Royal Palace complements to artists, because the relaxed beautiful atmosphere of the palace is a seclude space to create art, especially when you’re being pampered by the amazing staff.

The Belgadia Royal Palace is an 18th Century brick built double-storey building in a classical western style. The Palace is home to Royal family of Mayurbhanj, Odisha. Now The Belgadia Palace is the residence of the current Maharajah Praveen Chandra Bhanjdeo (47th ruler of the Bhanja dynasty), the queen of Mayurbhanj Rashmi Rajyalaxmi Bhanj Deo, the queen mother Bharati Rajya Lakshmi Devi and daughters Mrinalika M Bhanj Deo and Akshita M Bhanj Deo. Mrinalika and Akshita are social entrepreneurs and Directors of The Belgadia Palace and its philanthropic arm The Mayurbhanj Foundation.

Both our standard Palace rooms are on the ground floor. The rooms are adorned with wall paper and are perfect for a couple or for solo travellers. The room has a double bed, a writing desk and en suite bathroom. The room opens into a verandah overlooking the gardens Size: 200 sqft and Garden view
