Parikud Raja Palace is otherwise known as Krushna Prasad Palace built in 17th century on the bank of Lake Chilika and is situated in Parikud Island. The palace is established by King Bhagirathi Mansingh, the king of Parikud in the year 1798. Now the palace is belongs to King Santosh Chandra deo, the present king of Parikud. The island is surrounded by the lake from 3 sides and by the sea from 1 side. In winter Chilika aflutter with thousands of indigenous and migratory birds of many varieties from far and near - even from the distant Siberia.
