Morning transfer to Mangalazodi Eco Village, this is the wetland of Chilika lake, famous for migratory & local birds. Once upon a time these villagers were poachers but with time they understood the importance of ecology & natural habitat. With some training & community initiatives now Mangalozodi is the best example of preservation of environment & nature. Upon your arrival the villagers of Mangalazodi will welcome you into their village; hosts more than 800000 birds which jostle in its marshy water, especially the migratory & local birds. With this nature safari, you will be accompanied by a village leader & they are with full of information about birds & their ecology.

It’s a wonderful experience for the visitors to see bird from very close distance with no human made noises. After 2 to 3 hours bird safari in a county boat (Manual hand boat) return to the resort developed by villagers, have village lunch prepared by local villagers. The food is normally prepared with local vegetables & local ChilikaFish; the recipes are very simple yet mouth-watering. Visitors can also experience the boat making and Fishing net weaving activities. 3 Pm return back to Bhubaneswar.
