Shimilipal National Park is home to 99 Royal Bengal Tigers, 432 wild elephants and other animals, birds & trees. It is the second largest national park in India and largest national park in Odisha. It’s not only a National Park; Shimilipal is also a Tiger Reserve, Wildlife Sanctuary, Biosphere Reserve and also a part of Mayurbhanj Elephant Reserve. It is the only Tiger Reserve in the country to boast of Melanistic Tigers. Safari at Shimilipal: Visitors can enter Shimilipal from two Safari Gates: Jashipur or Baripada ( Pithabata). Total Km for safari ranging from 100 to 150 km.
