Shimilipal National Park is home to 99 Royal Bengal Tigers, 432 wild elephants and other animals, birds & trees. It is the second largest national park in India and largest national park in Odisha. It’s not only a National Park; Shimilipal is also a Tiger Reserve, Wildlife Sanctuary, Biosphere Reserve and also a part of Mayurbhanj Elephant Reserve. It is the only Tiger Reserve in the country to boast of Melanistic Tigers. 


Gurguria Nature Camp:  

  • This nature camp located on the bank of Khair River and surrounded by wooded hillocks. 

  • It has 7 nos of cottages (4 nos of rooms in Pine Villa, 2 cottages and 1 Bamboo Hut) and an Orchid garden with rare indigenous Orchids which looks beautiful in Summer when those flower. 

  • The accommodations have all the modern facilities and designed in a unique style. 

  • Here both veg and non-veg foods are served to the guests. 

  • Gurguria Nature Camp also provides elephant safari in the dense Shimilipal forest and at the last count, they had five elephants in the camp. They also arrange for trekking.


Kumari Nature Camp: 

  • It is located in the green village inside the Shimilipal nature camp. It surrounded by hill ranges of Shimilipal with green paddy fields.  

  • It has 14 nos of comfortable cottages (8 nos of Santhali Cottages, 4 nos of Bamboo Cottages & 2 nos of Bamboo Manchan). 

  • The accommodations have all the modern facilities and designed in a unique style. 

  • Here both veg and non-veg foods are served to the guests. 


Jamunai Nature Camp: 

  • It is located inside forest of Shimilipal National Park. 

  • It has 14 nos of eco-cottages (Santhali Cottage- 9 rooms, 4 nos of tents, Bamboo Cottage- 1no). 

  • The accommodations have all the modern facilities and designed in a unique style. 

  • Here both veg and non-veg foods are served to the guests. 


The Ramtirtha Camp: 

  • It is located on the meeting point of two rivers Khairi River & Bhandan River, close to the Shimilipal national park at Jhasipur. 

  • It has 10 number of luxury accommodations (4 rooms in Debasthali Cottage, 3 Tribal Cottages, AC dormitory 1no & Non-AC dormitory 2 nos) and beautiful Astral Garden that is preferred by tourists as a picnic spot.  

  • The accommodations have all the modern facilities and designed in a unique style. Here both veg and non-veg foods are served to the guests. 

  • Ramatirtha has a Crocodile Rearing Centre. The place also has mythological importance in History of Odisha.
