Guwahati - Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Bomdilla - Tawang - Guwahati

Day 01: Guwahati - Shillong:

Meet and greet at Guwahati airport and proceed to Shillong (130 Km). On arrival at Shillong check-in into the hotel, overnight stay at the hotel. (100 kms/3 hrs drive) 

Day 02: Shillong sightseeing:

After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing of Shillong. Important Sightseeing points in Shillong - Ward's Lake, Lady Hydari Park, Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Catholic Cathedral and Umium Lake. Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, is a hill town in the north eastern part of India. It is situated at an altitude of 1496 meters above sea level. It is popularly known as “Scotland of the East”. One of the seven sisters of the north east of India, Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 03: Shillong - Cherrapunjee: 

After breakfast proceed for Cherrapunjee. Visit an village Mawsynram, but this day visit will leave you fascinated with best memories of the entire journey. Important Cherrapunjee View Points - Duwanshing Syiem View Point, Ramakrishna Mission, Nakalikai Falls, Mawsimai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Eco. Park, Bangladesh Border, etc. Check-in in to the hotel in Shillong. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong. (60 kms/1 ½ hr)

Day 04: Shillong - Tezpur:

After breakfast drive to Tezpur . Nestling among Assam’s undulating hills at the northern bank of Brahmaputra is the pleasant city of Tezpur. Once known as Sonitpur, or ‘City of Blood’, Tezpur has interesting myths woven around it. Legend has it that lord Krishna waged a bloody battle against lord Shiva (Hari-Har-Yudh) to save the love of princess Usha and Prince Aniruddha. Tezpur local sightseeing and overnight stay at Hotel. (260 kms/6 hrs drive) 

Day 05: Tezpur - Bomdilla:

After breakfast drive through the picturesque tea gardens of Tezpur to reach Bhalukpung , on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas. After entry formalities we enter Arunachal, bounty of unending natural beauty. Driving for 20 minutes through curly roads overlooking the dancing 'Bhoroli' river you arrive at Tipi, where lies the Orchidarium, a glass house having 7500 orchids. We drive on to Bomdilla. Bomdilla commands a view of the beautiful Himalayan Landscape, and also has a number of Buddhist Gompas plus lovely apple orchards. It is a beautiful small town situated at a height of about 8000 ft. above the sea level from where one can see the brilliant landscape and snow-clad mountains of the Himalayan Range. The Buddhist monastery of Bomdilla is the repository of culture and is among primary attractions of the area.On reaching Bomdilla check in to the hotel for overnight stay. (204 kms/8hrs drive)

Day 06: Bomdilla - Tawang: 

After breakfast we depart for Tawang, the blessed land of Monpa's. Drive through centuries old Dirang Basti a 'Dirang Monpa' tribal village, still retaining its old stone made houses and its colorful inhabitants with warmth in their hearts, Dirang town overlooking the fast flowing Dirang river, Sela pass (13703ft) and Jaswant-Garh Chino-Indian war memorial. Check in at the hotel for overnight stay. In the night you can see illuminated Tawang Monastery. (180km, 6 hrs)

Day 07: Tawang:

Full day explore Tawang Monastery which is more than 350 years old and dramatic background is eye catching. In the afternoon visit the Urgelling Monastery associated with the birth of the 6th Dalai Lama, Ani Gompa located 12km from Tawang and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 08: Tawang - Bomdilla:

After breakfast drive to Bomdilla and sightseeing including Gonpatse Rimpoche and Tsona- a place in Tibet. Later on, visit the Bazaar Gompa . Over night stay at the hotel. (180km, 5 hrs) 

Day 09: Bomdilla - Tezpur:

After breakfast drive to Tezpur and overnight stay at Tezpur. (204 Km/ 8 hrs drive)

Day 10: Tezpur - Guwahati Airport: 

Have a early morning breakfast and proceed for local sightseeing of Guwahati. Important Sightseeing points in Guwahati are Maa Kamakhaya Mandir, Balaji Mandir, Bhubaneswar Mandir, Basistha. Drop to Guwahati Airport.
