DAY 1: Kolkata

Check in at Vivada jetty, as per convenience. Free time to explore city of Kolkata on own.

DAY 2: Dhakshineswar temple and European reminiscence 

Visit Dhaksineswar Kali temple. The temple is famous for its association with Ramakrishna Paramhamsa mystic of 19th Century Bengal. A nine-spired main temple, with twelve shrines dedicated to Shiva-Kali's companion. European reminiscence There were 5 European trading posts within 40 km north of Kolkata. Visit any two or more. 

Barrackpore - the British Governor’s residence,  

Serampore - The Danish Colony  

Chandannagore - The French colony  

Chinsura - The Dutch trading posts in India 

Bandel - Port during the time of Portuguese.

DAY 3: Terracotta Temple at Kalna and Weavers village at Shantipur 

Kalna- Maharajas of bardhaman built several magnificent temples with intricate terracotta ornamentation, the main ones being 108 Shiv Mandir built in 1809 in traditional AAT chala architecture and the Raj bari. 

Shantipur / Fulia - the weavers of fine Bengal cotton, the village rich in handloom weaving, is the second larger occupation in the state of West Bengal. The weavers here blend the traditional art with the modern life style needs, offering rich variety of textiles. Sarees, stoles, fabrics etc.

DAY 4: Kolkata 

The capital city of East India company, the city has been the foremost in the independent struggle. Explore the great city by foot and wheels with a story teller.

DAY 5: Sunderbans Village 

The world largest Mangrove forest, the Sunderbans, a Biosphere reserve and a UNESCO world heritage site, is the largest forest delta in the world with almost 9630 sq km in India and Bangladesh. This is a wonderland indeed to be explored through waterways. We will sail to some of the Sunderbans villages, walk through some agricultural fields, fish ponds, the homes and local markets.

DAY 6: Immigration at Hemnagar, Sunderbans. and Angtihara, Bangladesh 

 We will sail in the sunderbans waters towards border for the immigration formalties at. Hemnagar. Time permitting we will complete the Bangladesh customs too. The Bangladesh custom point is about 4 hours away at Angtihara, Bangladesh.

DAY 7: Bangladesh part of the Tiger Reserve 

Sail towards Mongla port for a exciting visit to Bangladesh part of the Tiger reserve. Lined with mangroves the dense forest and the wide river narrows down to small creeks and large mudflats. Time permitting we will drive down to Bagerhat to visit 60 Dome Mosque, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

DAY 8: Sundarban 

Sunderbans has 84 species of mangroves and more than 140 varieties of birds including the migratory. Today we will walk around the Mangrove forest on foot including the slushy areas with an armed guard; watch for the birds, reptiles, and animal with extreme quietness. We will take a small country boat to enter the small creeks and the mudflats for wild life sighting, bird watching. Relax by the beach side after an activity filled day.

DAY 9: Sundarban 

From the world's largest mangrove forest, the Sunderbans we will sail to Borisal. Enroute we will visit small island which is a part the Sunderbans tiger reserve, Haringhata.

DAY 10: Backwater and canals of Swarupkati near Atgor Khuriyana. 

This is a maze of water bodies interestingly used in Bund Agriculture. Guava, fruits, vegetables and flowers are grown in this area. Another interesting feature is the wooden logs floated to its destination, the Market.The trunks are tied together like a raft and the boat is sitting on top of the stems.

DAY 11: Chadpur 

Chandpur A fishing harbor, a idyllic village, producing large amount of Hilsa Fish. Post breakfast visit the fish market. Watch the auction straight out of the boats and at the market.

DAY 12: Sonargaon 

Sonargaon, the ancient capital of undivided Bengal. Visit the abandoned Panam City, established in the late 19th century as a trading center of cotton fabrics during British rule.

DAY 13: Dhaka

Check out the cruise and transfer to Dhaka city hotel. Explore the historic city, the capital of Bangladesh. In late 16th-century Dhaka was one of the largest and most prosperous cities in the Indian subcontinent, a regional economic centre during the 17th and 18th centuries, serving as a hub for Eurasian traders, The city had well-laid out gardens, monuments, mosques, temples, bazaars, churches and caravansaries. Discover the story of Dhaka by foot and coach with our story teller.
