Thousands of weavers are inhabited in remote villages living with age old traditions, creating superb workmanship on silk, cotton, tusser fabrics. The weavers of each region work in their own distinctive style. Odisha saris are made using all these beautiful textiles and techniques and areconsequently some of the most pretty and unique saris in India. They are greatly influence by the Jagannath (Hindu deity worshiped in Odisha) culture and frequently display temple borders, mythological designs and the traditional colors of Jagannath.

Early morning transfer to Ganjam, explore the large tracts of Grasslands on the foothills of undulating hills with herds of graceful Blackbucks fleeing in a jumping gallop with short dashes making clucking noises. The Bhetnoi-Balipadar – Tanarda – Ramanda landscape accommodates nearly 2500 Blackbucks, 40 to 50 Blackbucks in one herd can be seen foraging and springing. The herd mostly have one ‘’alpha male’’ with rest females. As they mate throughout the year, visitors can easily witness their interesting mating behaviour in which males adopt ‘’Lekking’’ as a strategy to garner females. Fight between Blackbucks locking their Cork-Screw horns is a sight worth seeing. After lunch depart for Bhubaneswar.

Morning transfer to Satapada Dolphin Sanctuary, Dolphins are the special attraction of Satapada, is a very popular tourist attraction, located in Puri district of Indian state Odisha. Sata' means 'Seven' and 'Pada' Means 'Village', so the name Satapada means group of seven villages. Chilika Lake is nearer to this place, so the Irrawaddy dolphin (Orcaella brevirostris) seen on the places in a huge quantity. Chilika covers an area of 1,165 square kilometers over the districts of Puri, Khurda and Ganjam. Chilika is home to more than a hundred varieties of fish and dolphins. With the onset of winter, birds begin to land in Chilika, and within a month, thousands come together in different parts of the lake. The atmosphere and the structure of Satapada, is very suitable for Dolphins.


The Dolphin Motor Boat Association provides and manages motor boats at Satapada to go to the dolphin viewpoint to maintain silence get a sight of the dolphins and also visit to Sea Mouth. After 2 to 3 hours boat safari at Satapada Dolphin Sanctuary & Sea Mouth, in the afternoon return back to Bhubaneswar.

Early morning transfer to Bhitarakanika National Park, on the way, both side of the road you will find typical Villages. The scenery is magnificent. Check in at the resort before sunset. Enjoy the evening watching the sunset in river in front of Resort. Bhitarnika is an adventurist's paradise and a breeding ground for Olive Ridley turtles. The second largest mangrove forest of the country, it was declared a sanctuary in 1975, in order to protect the estuarine crocodile and the turtles in their rare mangrove habitat. Other residents of the sanctuary include water monitor lizards and king cobras. 


Visitors need to reach at Khola or Gupti Jetty by 7 AM, use your safari boat to explore magrove forest, enjoy the serpentine creeks, watch out for birds, particularly different varieties of Kingfisher. Keep looking for estuarine crocodiles basking in the sun. Also visit Bagagahan Bird Sanctuary, climb to watch tower, look for Pelican & different varieties of Storks. Visit Crocodile museum at Dangamal. After lunch depart for Bhubaneswar.

6 AM reporting at  Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, formerly called Kataka Caves or Cuttack Caves, are partly natural and partly artificial caves of archaeological, historical and religious importance near the city of Bhubaneswar in Odisha, India. The caves are situated on two adjacent hills, Udayagiri and Khandagiri. Udayagiri means "Sunrise Hill" and has 18 caves while Khandagiri has 15 caves. Caves at Udayagiri: Udayagiri offers more beautiful and better maintained cave shrines.

02: Tribal Museum Trail

10 Am transfer to Tribal Arts & Artifacts Museum. It opens window into the tribal life & culture of Odisha. It was established in the year 1953. In 1986, 5 tribal huts, representing Santal, Juang, Gadaba, Saora and Kandha communities, were constructed and the tribal artifacts were displayed here for visitors. On 5 March 2001, the new museum building was inaugurated. Also known as Tribal Research Institute Museum, it is must visit place which showcases Arts, Handicrafts, Jewelleries, Weaponries of The 62 Tribes of Odisha.


There are 5 halls in the museum and the displays are categorized the following way:

03: Ekamra Haat Trail

Ekamra Haat is situated in the heart of Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha. It is a popular place for purchasing handicraft and handlooms products. Due to its well maintained environment and comfortable location, it has attracted large number of tourists and local people recently. It has 42 hand looms and handicraft shops and 8 open display corners which provide consumers with natural and original artisan products. The architectural structure is unique and the shops are created like huts and there are big grass mounds which give the visitors a feel of rural Odisha. These include Stone carving, Wood carving, Applique wall hangings and lamp shades (Pipili Chandua), Pattachitra paintings, Cane & Bamboo crafts from Western Odisha and Mayurbhanj, Dhokra art, Terracotta, Palm leaf paintings and popular Odia handloom fabrics like Ikat, Bandha and Bomkai from Sambalpur, Sonepur and Ganjam.


04: Dhauligiri Trail: Buddhist walk at Odisha ( Evening Sound & Light show) 


After that transfer to Dhauligiri Dhauli hills are located on the banks of the river Daya, 8 km south of Bhubaneswar in Odisha, India. Shanti Stupa of Dhauligiri is also known as the Peace Pagda. The word 'shanti' in the name itself suggests peace. Since King Ashoka adopted the path of peace and tranquility and resorted to Buddhism, he laid the foundation of Dhauligiri Shanti Stupa at a place which is known for the end of Kalinga War. On the top of the hill, a dazzling white peace pagoda has been built by the Japan Buddha Sangha and the Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha in the 1970s.


Light and sound show: The show is conducted in Odia,Hindi and English. It is a great show depicting the life and struggles of King Ashok and the Kalinga war which led to his transformation from Chandasoka to Dharamasoka.

Day Tour Odisha 07: Chandaka Sanctuary

Early morning transfer to Chandaka Forest. Chandaka Forest is a wildlife reserve located in the south fringe of cuttack in the Indian state of Odisha. Chandaka forest is spread over 175.79 square kilometres (67.87 sq mi) of rolling table land and small sprawling hillocks of Khurdha and Cuttack Districts. It was designated as an elephant reserve in December 1982. There are two Nature Camps in Chandaka-Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary- Deras Nature Camp (8 cottages) and Godibari Nature Camp (8 suites), 5 Km apart from one destination to another. Both the Nature Camps are 20 Km distance from Capital City Bhubaneswar in the same direction. Bharatpur Forest in the south eastern part of Chandaka-Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary an area of 20 Sq. Km in the heart of the capital city is rich in biodiversity.


The floral diversity is distributed in six types that is- •Evergreen Forests •Moist Kangada (Xylia xylocarpa) Forests •Coastal Sal Forests (Shorea robusta) •Thorny Bamboo Brakes (Bambusa bambos) •Planted Teak •Eupatorium scrub. The main tree species are - kochila, kalicha, belo, kangada, giringa, sunari, sal, kumbhi, jamu, karanja, teak and sidha. Common medicinal plants of the sanctuary are- duramari, baidanka (Mucuna pruriens), brudhadaraka, bhuinlimbo, guduchi lata, salparni (Desmodium gangeticum), satabari, bhuin-kakharu, indrajaba, thalkudi, apamaranga, kurchi, and patalgaruda. A few species of ground orchids, ferns, club mosses, bryophytes and lichens are distributed in shady wet pockets and rock escarpments.


The Fauna diversity are: Elephant is the keystone or flagship species in the forest ecosystem. Hanuman Langur, the macaque, three deer (spotted deer, barking deer, and mouse deer), wild pig, porcupine and hare form other herbivores. Among carnivores Leopard, sloth bear, hyena, wolf, fox, jackal, mongoose (common, small, ruddy). Civets (small, palm), tree shrew and Pangolins are important. The reptilian fauna include Bengal monitor, mud turtle, the Chameleon, Python, Cobra, Russels viper, Bamboo pit viper, Rat snake, Earth Boa etc.


Watch towers: For visitors there are a number of watch towers to observe wildlife. While Kochilaberana, Pitagadia and Charichhak watch towers are excellent for observation of birds and animals.


There are two water reservoirs, Deras Dam and Jhumka Dam, situated within the reserve.
