Betnai is a small village in the hearts of Ganjam district of Odisha and home to numerous herds of Blackbucks. Blackbucks are considered part of the community here. The villagers were awarded the Biju Patnaik Award for Wildlife Conservation in 2004-05. The large tracts of Grasslands on the foothills of undulating hills with herds of graceful Blackbucks fleeing in a jumping gallop with short dashes making clucking noises. The Bhetnoi-Balipadar – Tanarda – Ramanda landscape accommodates nearly 2500 Blackbucks, 40 to 50 Blackbucks in one herd can be seen foraging and springing. The herd mostly have one ‘’alpha male’’ with rest females. Not only Blackbucks, here visitors can see hundreds of peacocks all along the landscape. And visitors can explore wide variety of flora & fauna at Blackbuck Nature Camp.

• Chermaria is located on the foothills of Pakidi and the place is often visited by environmentalists to check peacocks and look for medicinal plants.
