Berbera Forest Located at Banpur Tehsil Khordha. It under Khuda Forest Division. It is named as Berbera because of a British officer's wife who was killed by a tiger here. This place have excellent wildlife habitat. Here visitors can see Elephants, Bison, Sambar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Bear, Porcupine, Leopard, lots of giant squirrel and 104 species of birds in the forest. The history of this forest dates back to some of the plantation activities carried out by the British forest officials in the valleys and foothills of Berbera from 1890s. The forest is 2,500 feet above the sea level and is very cool in summer days. The forest also constitute with many rare medicinal plants.
