Ansupa Lake:

Ansupa Fresh Water Lake in Athagarh is a unique horseshoe-shaped water body spread across 382 km. It is the largest natural freshwater lake in Odisha. It situated on the lap of Saranda and Bishnupur hills. Due to its unique bio diverse flora and fauna, it is home to 9 species of submerged, 12 and 26 species of floating and emergent aquatic plants. It is also home to 33 species of fish, 3 species of prawns, 10 species of reptiles and 50 species of migrant and resident birds.

And the another attraction of this place is a very old fort called Saranda Fort built during Keshari dynasty is situated near the lake on western side on Saranda Hills. This has some archaeological significance. Some bamboo cottages are made on the top of Saranda hill for tourist refreshments.
