Photography Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi - Connecting flight to Bhubaneswar Arrival (Must be Monday)

Arrival at Temple City of India: Bhubaneswar airport, meet & greet, transfer to hotel. Informal inaugural welcoming session by experience photographer at Hotel.Second Half visit to Temples of Bhubaneswar: Lingaraj Temple (Shiva Temple 11th Century), Mukteswar Temple (9th Century), Parshurameswar Temple (7th Century), Khandagiri - Udayagir Jain Caves (1st Century BC), Tribal Museum Over night at Bhubaneswar. (Total Km 60)

Day 02: Bhubaneswar – Mahanadi River – Textile Village - Dhenkanal Heritage Palace

Early morning Chk out from Hotel & transfer to Dhenkanal Heritage Palace. Enroute visit Sadeibareni Dhokra Craft Village, This village is home to near to 25 families & out of these nearly 12 are awarded from President of India for Dhokra Craft. Visitors can buy directly from them. Then Visit Nuapatana Weavers Village & Maniabandha Textile Village, these villages has distinct place in the map of Indian textile. Their TIE & DYE patterns popularly known as IKAT, interaction with weavers is a delight. 2nd half transfer to Dhenkanal Palace & Overnight stay at the Royal palace of Denkanal. A truly royal eastern retreat, Dhenkanal Palace, the residence of the former Rajas of Dhenkanal is now a heritage homestay where one can experience history, tradition, art, culture and heritage of Dhenkanal. The last ruler, Raja Shankar Pratap Mahindra Bahadur (1925 – 65), was the seventeenth ruler since the foundation of the State and the first ruler in Orissa to merge with India in 1948. The present Raja of Dhenkanal is Brig Raja Kamakhya Prasad Singh Deo Mahindra Bahadur( 1941- ). Over night at Denkanal. (Total Km 180)

Day 03: Denkanal Palace

After breakfast at Royal palace, full day photography activities including: jungle trekking, tribal village, birding & evening bonfire at the palace.Overnight at Dhenkanal palace.

Day 04: Dhenkanl Palace - Pipili Applique Market– Konark Sun Temple– Puri

After breakfast drive Purienroute: 64 yogini Temple, Dhauli (Buddhist Santi Stupa), Ashoka Stone Encrypt of 3rd Century BC, Pipili (Appliqué work village) local market &Konark Sun Temple (UNESCO Heritage Site), have lunch here, and then visit Chandrabhaga Sea Beach, Overnight at Puri. ( Total 220 km)

Day 05: Puri – Raghurajpur Heritage Village- Street Photography - Puri

After breakfast at Hotel, Transfer to Raghurajpur Heritage Village(Painting village) situated amidst groves of coconut, palm, mango and jack fruit, the main village has two streets with over 120 houses, most decorated with mural paintings, where the painters reside and practice their Pattachitra craft, besides many others that practices throughout the village, including traditional masks, stone idols, paper Mache, sculptures, and wooden toys. And also you can witness Gotipua dance (Optional), is a traditional dance form in the state of Odisha, India, and the precursor of Odissi classical dance. It has been performed in Odisha for centuries by young boys, who dress as young women to praise Jagannath and Krishna. The dance is executed by a group of boys who perform acrobatic figures inspired by the life of Radha and Krishna. And this performance is a life time experience for visitors. Afternoon back to hotel.Second half time for Street Photography. Overnight stay at Puri. (Total Km 70)

Day 06: Puri– Mangalazodi Wet Land (Birds) - Gopalpur at Sea 

Am transfer to Gopalpur at Sea, enroute visit Mangalazodi Eco Village. The villagers of Mangalazodi will welcome you into their village; hosts more than 600000 birds which jostle in its marshy water, especially the migratory & local birds, 2 hours birds’ safari with Country boat at wetland of Mangalazodi, also experience the boat making and Fishing net weaving activities. With this nature safari, you will be accompanied by a village leader. Visitors can also have village Lunch with community based initiatives. Afternoon transfer to Gopalpur at Sea, also you can see the Chilika lake on your left side(the largest estuarine lake of Asia). If time permits, you can proceed to experience the infinity nature of Chilikalake, Barkul is the gateway to enter Chilika lake, Over night at Gopalpur at Sea. (Total Km 220)

Day 07: Gopalpur at Sea 

Full day at Leisure,enjoy the ambiance of Silence & tranquility. Gopalpur is regarded as one of the best beach of India for its clean & bluish water. Optional visit can arrange to local fishing village & Weavers village ( SilkSaree). Over night at Gopalpur.

Day 08: Gopalpur – Taptapani Hot Spring– Jirang – Tibetan Settlement - Soura village – Rayagada 

Ealrly morning transfer to Padmanavpur Textile village, Taptapani Hot Spring, visitors can get refreshed at Taptapani Cottage, then transferred to Jirang Buddhist Settlement. Also visit the Soura Tribes village. Evening chk in to Rayagada Hotel.

Day 09: Dukum Kutia Kondha Market - Rayagada (must be Tuesday) 

Morning transfer to Rayagada, Soura Tribal Village, Dangari Dhokra Craft village Jhigidi Tribal Jewelry Village, (with permission from the local authority) and then transfer to Rayagada. Over night at Rayagada. (Total km 280)

Day 10: Rayagada – Bisam cuttak – ChatikonaHaat - Jaypore (must be Wednesday) 

Morning visit another color full tribal Haat ( market) Chatikona Market of Bisam Cuttak, it’s a huge vegetable market, cultivated by these Dangaria tribes on the slopes of mountains. On the way also visit Bada Paraja & Mali Village. Over night at Lamtaput.( Total Km 320)

Day 11: Jeypore – Machkund Power project - Onukudelli – Jeypore( Must be Thursday) 

Morning visit to Machkund Power plant, Onukudelli haat, it’s home to the most furious & Primitive tribes of Odisha The Bonda. Also visit Gadaba Village, Mali Tribes, Paraja Tribes. Overnight at Lamtaput. (Total Km 230)

Special Interest Activities: At Gadava Village we can organize Dhemsa Tribe Dance for you visitors. ( Optional with Prior Intimation)

Day 12: Jeypore – KunduliHaat – Vishakhapatanam 

Am chk out from hotel & transfer to Jagannth Temple of Koraput, Kunduli Haat, Similiguda Market & Limika Pottery village,Bada Paraja Tribal.After lunch transfer to Vishakhapatanam. OvernightatVishakhapatanam. (Total Km 300)

Day 13: Vishakhapatanam - Departure

Morning transfer to Vishakhapatanam Airport for onward journey.( Total km 200)
